This Privacy Policy explains how Decolia Team ("Decolia Team", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Decolia mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Policy applies to users age 17 and older.
If you do not agree with this Policy, do not use the Service.
1) Who We Are
Controller/Service Provider: Decolia Team
Contact Email: abisrkkf861168@outlook.com
2) What Decolia Does
Decolia helps you digitize physical diaries by allowing you to:
- capture photos of handwritten pages and import them into the app;
- organize entries with tags and date-based notes;
- add optional voice notes to entries;
- browse timelines, search and curate collections of your entries.
3) Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: (A) information you provide, (B) information collected automatically, and (C) information collected when you permit access to device features.
3.1) Information you provide
- Account information: name, username, email address.
- Customer support: the content of messages you send to us (including attachments you choose to provide).
3.2) Information collected automatically
- Device information: device model, operating system version, language, time zone, app version, identifiers that your device or operating system provides to us.
- Usage data: in-app activity, feature usage, approximate timestamps of actions, and diagnostic events.
- Crash and performance logs: crash reports and related diagnostic data.
3.3) Location information (only if you allow it)
If you grant permission, we may collect location data that may be precise or approximate (depending on your device settings and permissions). You can disable location permissions at any time in your device settings.
3.4) Photos, audio, and related content
The Service may allow you to import photos of diary pages and attach voice notes. We do not perform face recognition or biometric identification. We do not use your photos or audio for advertising, marketing, or model training.
By default, your content is stored locally on your device. If you choose to use a feature that uploads content to our servers for processing or synchronization, we will handle it under this Policy and delete server-side processing data as described in Section 10 (Data Retention).
4) How We Use Information
We use information for the following purposes:
- Provide and maintain the Service (account creation, login, core features).
- Personalize your experience (preferences, organization features such as tags and timelines).
- Improve and develop the Service (analytics, debugging, feature enhancement).
- Security and fraud prevention (access control, abuse detection, protecting user accounts).
- Customer support (responding to requests and troubleshooting).
- Legal compliance (responding to lawful requests, enforcing our rights, and meeting regulatory obligations).
We do not sell personal information.
5) Cookies and Similar Technologies
If the Service includes web-based components, we may use cookies or similar technologies (which may include web beacons) for:
- authentication and keeping you logged in;
- remembering preferences and settings.
You can manage cookies through your device or browser settings (where applicable).
6) Legal Bases (Where Required)
Depending on your jurisdiction, we process personal data based on one or more of the following:
- Performance of a contract (to provide the Service you request).
- Legitimate interests (to secure and improve the Service).
- Consent (for optional features such as location access, where required).
- Compliance with legal obligations.
7) Sharing and Disclosure
We may share information only as needed and with appropriate safeguards:
- With your consent: when you choose to share or authorize a specific disclosure.
- Service providers (processors): trusted vendors who process data on our behalf (e.g., infrastructure, analytics, crash reporting, customer support tooling). They may access data only to perform services for us and must protect it.
- Legal and safety: to comply with law, court orders, or lawful requests; to protect rights, safety, and security of users, Decolia Team, or others; to prevent fraud or abuse.
- Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction (subject to appropriate protections).
We follow a "minimum necessary" principle for sharing.
8) International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms.
9) Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information, including:
- encryption in transit and at rest where appropriate;
- access controls and least-privilege practices;
- periodic security reviews/audits;
- backups designed to support recovery.
No security measures can guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
10) Data Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:
- Account data: retained while your account is active.
- After account deletion: deleted or anonymized within 30 days, unless we must retain it longer to comply with law or to resolve disputes.
- Usage analytics: retained for up to 12 months.
- Customer support content: retained for up to 6 months.
If content is temporarily uploaded for a one-time processing feature, we delete the processing data promptly after completion, consistent with this retention schedule and operational needs.
11) Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:
- access and obtain a copy of your information;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information;
- restrict or object to certain processing;
- withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent).
To exercise these rights, contact us at abisrkkf861168@outlook.com. We will respond within 5 business days, subject to verification and applicable law.
You can also manage permissions (e.g., location, photos, microphone) in your device settings.
12) Children and Age Eligibility
The Service is intended for users age 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 17. If you believe a minor has provided us personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
13) Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy with a new effective date. Your continued use of the Service after the update means you accept the updated Policy to the extent permitted by law.
14) Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Policy is governed by the laws of Decolia Team’s principal place of business, excluding conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes arising from or relating to this Policy will be resolved through binding arbitration, to the extent permitted by law.
